Why is it difficult for people to understand each other? Would we be able to accomplish a project with Tibetan monks as well as with colleagues from a neighboring office, for example? Sure. It would be possible if we create a third «linguistic» conceptual-semantic reality, which would be equally understood by both our colleagues from the neighboring office as well as the Tibetan monks…

You start a project, any project (free of charge or costing multi-millions of dollars), tiny or global and it's due in a single week or a decade. The project beginning is the most dangerous and the most attractive stage of its fulfillment. You plunge into the chaos, into the inescapable chaos, which is created by complex-organized multi-level systems.

These systems existed before and won’t cease to exist even after your project is completed. It’s up to you how effectively you deal with the project, while respecting the natural order by: accepting chaos – limiting chaos – structuring chaos - attaining your project objective – and then again accepting chaos...

Day after day you manage and take part in numerous different projects to attain your goals. But what if we deflect away our attention from the ordinary project, and dream all together - what will projects look like in the nearest future? How will the activity of a managerial profession, including you, change?

What is the chaos accompanying any project? Nothing short of a very complicated, but at the same time – accessible network. And what will happen if structure is brought to a network globally or in a less significant manner? Or, what’s even easier – to structure a project applying network-centric logic?

The end result is that you can benefit from the joint efforts of united participants, who work towards accomplishing any project by your «rules of play». It’s up to you when deciding what you will focus on – to advantages or disadvantages. Remember, the decision is always in your hands – to question or agree with the offered suggestion coming from the project network-centric organization or not. That is to say, to refuse or apply such a view on your business.

Throughout the entire book there weren't any imposed demands or unapproachable truths. So, we leave the final decision up to you as well, and try to encourage you as you make your own choice. And in the end, we don’t want to betray our principles. Why did we decide to create this system, as it is?

Because we believe that our principles are right. They are a lot, but some of them are fundamental to our backbone of beliefs. Why be more complicated in managing than with a pen and a piece of paper? We want our management to be agile, dynamic and easy. We believe in management by means of communication. Our point of view is that the future belongs to network-centric organizations and appropriate interfaces. This is our reality.
